The pink ribbon campaign

Leo Chevon's contribution

We at Leo Chevon donate NOK 10 per product sold throughout October to the Pink Ribbon campaign, organized by the Breast Cancer Society and the Cancer Society. On 1 November, we will count the number of products sold in October, and further donate the money to the Pink Ribbon campaign.

About Pink ribbon

The pink ribbon campaign is an international people's movement. In Norway stands Breast Cancer Association and The Cancer Society together about the action.

The pink ribbon originated in the United States where American women in the early 1990s demanded greater funding for breast cancer research. Since then, organisations, companies and private individuals have dedicated the month of October to the Pink Ribbon campaign.

The campaign has been organized in Norway since 1999 and it has contributed over NOK 280 million to research into breast cancer.

The goal

The aim of the Pink Ribbon campaign is to show solidarity with those affected by breast cancer, spread information and increase knowledge about breast cancer as well as to support breast cancer research.

Contributes to knowledge

Every year, the Pink Ribbon raises an informational theme that will raise an important issue within the field of breast cancer and contribute to increasing knowledge about breast cancer. Personalized breast cancer treatment is the theme of the campaign in 2020. More and more people are getting cancer. On the road to a possible cure, we must ensure that everyone receives the right treatment.
